Meet Margie

Faith, Family
& Community

The people, experiences, and values that shaped the woman behind the campaign.

Polk County Is Home

Margie came to Texas from upstate New York and has called Polk County home since October 1994. It is where she and Randy raised their two children, built a life together, worked hard, and became part of a community they love.

Today, family gatherings include their nine grandchildren—Margie's beloved “grandmonsters” and “sweet peas.” They are a joyful reminder of why serving Polk County's families and preparing for the county's future matter so much.

“Faith keeps me grounded, family gives me purpose, and community reminds me that we are strongest when we work together.”

Margie & Randy

Margie and Randy have spent four decades side by side. Their story has been built through hard work, sacrifice, faith, laughter, and the kind of partnership that carries a family through every season.

From raising their children to cheering on their grandchildren, Randy has remained Margie's closest supporter and the steady smile she looks for in every room.

The Grand Canyon Promise

In April 2022, Margie and Randy traveled to the Grand Canyon, fulfilling a promise Randy had made to Margie's grandmother. The trip was more than a vacation—it was a reminder to honor the people who shaped us and to keep our word, even when years have passed.

That same sense of commitment guides Margie's approach to public service: say what you mean, follow through, and never forget who placed their trust in you.

Children & Grandchildren

Margie's proudest role will always be family. She and Randy raised a son and daughter, and their family has grown to include nine grandchildren. The busy, imperfect, laughter-filled moments are the ones she treasures most.

Her family has taught her patience, resilience, and the importance of showing up—lessons she carries into her work and her commitment to Polk County.

A Family That Serves

This photo captures Margie and Randy's two children, Richard and Tosha, together. Margie and Randy are deeply proud of both of them and the bond they share.

Richard serves in the United States Army, while Tosha serves the Polk County community through her work with the U.S. Postal Service. Their dedication reflects values that run through the family: duty, discipline, sacrifice, and service to others.

Those values strengthen Margie's belief that public office is not about a title. It is about responsibility, accountability, and serving people with integrity.
